I like this tent, neat design. Always beautiful location scenery! awe getting a pupperdoggo. Collies are beautiful lots of grooming but grooming is a relaxing chore, good mentally at least I feel it is. Bummer on the sleep pad. Great campsite; thank you for sharing,

How is the pitching and how is the groundsheet holding up? Vango apparently used to make one for the F10 MTN which allowed fly first pitching but I can't find it in stock anywhere

Nice video there Monty, that looked like a nice wee spot. Pity you had to bail out, it has been really cold this "summer" so far. I think if you had a mat with a high R- value it might have been the difference between your bag doing the job or not. A good honest review of the gear there as well. 👍

Can’t wait to see your next adventures with your dog. Both breeds are wonderful. I’ve had collies in the past and my new wee lab will be mature enough in Sep to finally take her properly camping. Can’t go in the summer as the midges and ticks eat me alive. Great video and location too.

Thats a cracking tunnel tent Monty. Can't go wrong with Robens, they do a starlight one model that is absolutely superb......it's very similar to an AKTO and for the cash is fantastic value. Hope that you are well mate!

Fun camp what a lovely place.The little alpkit numo saved me as i didnt bring a sleeping bag and never expected the temp to go down so low. Never underestimate the Scottish weather even in summer!

Tent looks the job! Always think though the heat would be mighty in the tent without protection from a tarp in that sort of weather.

When you get old like me, efficiency is everything. The first item I pack inside my backpack is the last item I will need when setting up camp, which is of course the sleeping bag, not the tent. My tent sits atop my sleeping bag to one side. And beside the tent is my sleeping pad, extra water bottle, clothing, food, cookset, hygiene kit, etc. In the brain is a first-aid kit, gloves, rain poncho, things I can get to quickly. On the outside are water bottle, tent poles, trowel, boonie hat, etc. Inside the hip belt pocket is a twin blade folding pocket knife, keys, some cash, compass, headlamp. I can setup camp in 10 minutes and leave without a trace in 15. Mainly because it takes longer to pack up than to unpack.

Hi what tent would you recommend for moto camping? having camped before so looking to buy something robust and easy to erect, mostly summer camping, would like room for the Mrs if she decides to come with me sometimes. I heard Vango aren't as good as they used to be years ago. Got a Lidl sleeping bag so I have some kit already😄

Monty, I had a Geertop tent like the one you used in this video. I'm smaller than you and found it a squeeze. Condensation was horrible - the inside wall felt like a shower curtain in the mornings. On the mountains with a breeze through the night it might be better, but I'm a woodland camper (in Australia).
